NiCOLA HALTON

 

JANET WATTS

Janet Watts has managed and led multi skilled teams over the course of her career in the financial services industry and, since having children, she has continued this in the voluntary sector chairing several local groups.  She has spent the last 12 years working for a small but dynamic gastro pub company handling a variety of areas such as recruitment, IT, H & S, compliance and facilities management and brings these skills to the Warriner Multi Academy Trust where she sits on the School Improvement and Personnel committees. She strongly believes that we now have control over our own destinies with the schools in the Trust being empowered by the sharing of knowledge, skills and resources to offer an enriched and seamless education to all our pupils.

DUNCAN RAPER

Duncan has many years experience as a school governor and has served as a Chair of Governors in both a primary and secondary setting. He has 2 daughters, both attended Hornton Primary School and The Warriner School. Duncan is a Chartered Accountant who has worked in Industry for over 30 years.

Duncan was also part of the steering group that ultimately formed the Warriner MAT. He is a Trustee and The Chair of the Trust Board and as such is also a Member of the Warriner MAT.

ANNABEL KAY

Dr Kay is the Headteacher of The Warriner and the CEO of the Warriner Multi Academy Trust.

MARK HOWARTH

Mark has many years experience as a school Governor and a Chair of Governors. He is married with 3 children who have all attended Bishop Carpenter and the Warriner School. Mark has worked for large multi national corporations in senior sales, marketing and procurement positions. Mark is looking to use these skills in his capacity as a Trustee and Chair of the Central Services Committee. As one of the Trustees who helped in the transition to Multi Academy Trust, Mark wants to ensure that all children are able to reach their full potential at all of the schools.

Nicola Harwood

Nicola has worked in education since leaving university starting her career as a class teacher in Leeds. She has worked in Coventry, Leicestershire, Warwickshire and Leicester City in roles including SENCO, professional staff tutor and mathematics lead before becoming a senior leader. She has had five headships in 5 very different primary schools ranging from small village church schools to large three form entry city schools. She has also undertaken roles as the primary school achievement manager for a local authority before becoming one of His Majesty’s Inspectors in 2017. She recently joined a MAT as an executive head overseeing 7 primary schools. Prior to being a HMI she was on the IEB of a failing secondary school in Warwickshire. She also supported the Leicester Primary Pru as a governor.

Lindsey Moran

A former pupil of the Warriner School, Lindsey originally qualified as a primary school teacher/educational psychologist and has been a Governor for two London primary schools. She has worked in both public and private sector organisations and is currently an Interim HR Director. Married with a daughter and a house full of animals, Lindsey is passionate about improving educational opportunity and mental health.

Andy Jones

 

KAREN METCALFE

Karen is a school link adviser with Oxford Diocesan Board of Education and has worked in schools for over 30 years. She taught in a variety of schools in Islington, Camden and Oxfordshire before taking up headship of a church school in Oxfordshire.

In her current role she supports schools across the Diocese of Oxford in various aspects of school improvement. She has experience as a school governor.
